Repetition is unavoidable whatever you’re doing. Include the same greeting to start every single email, write the same two phrases a dozen times, or simply launch the same apps or websites day after day… there isn’t much space for innovation there, but there are shortcuts to make it faster.
Auto text apps are one good example. Basically, they abbreviate your typing by setting personalized snippets and typos for that routine work. Say you are always including the phrase ‘I am contacting you because…’ in tons of emails. Instead of writing the whole sentence in every single email, you set one keyword for that phrase. When you want to use it, just type the key and it automatically will show up. Simple and time-saving!
The major part of those apps also includes more sophisticated features, as convert currencies and correct misspellings, but all of them are focused on automating your writing. In the end, their main goal is giving you a shortcut to getting things done by speeding up your typing. And that is something that we really like here at KeyRocket, so we wanted to continue with our ‘Typing Speed Matters‘ series by comparing some of the auto text apps that might be helpful when dull work comes :) We invite you to try them out and to let us know if they help you or not…
